eDoss®

eDoss® is an electronic 'Verification Dossier' developed as a fully stand-alone Windows based programme that gives full access to all parameters of the dossier at the touch of the button. The system boasts security management and the user can print reports from the standard menus or customise reports to their own format. All Certificates of Approval can be stored in any file format that can be displayed on the screen by a simple keystroke.

eDoss® was originally designed to assist hazardous plant operators in maintaining the records of the plant equipment or apparatus inspections due to the massive amount of storage required to keep hard copy records of the inspections.

With more than 300 drop down menu's synchronised to the Pocket Inspector® the inspection schedules, calibration details, purchase specification, CFT/PFT testing procedures and all relevant documentation are all completed electronically with the minimum of input from the user; reports can be printed from the menu system.

A password security system prevents the user from accessing the managers' area, which is able to change system settings and functionality. Our flexible, but none the less effective, system fits into any plants operations and is streamlined to give the maximum benefit to the client.

Most hazardous plant operators (oil/gas, chemical installations etc.) are requiring their plant to be inspected in accordance with the latest standards, annually. When Engertrol is invited to site, every piece of electrical equipment in zoned areas are catalogued and inspected for faults, wear and tear, and appropriateness. Portable equipment, such as static earth clamps etc., many require more frequent inspections.

During the course of the inspections many common faults are found. Some of these faults are easily rectified during the inspection. For example, the labelling of intrinsically safe equipment is performed when no label exists. Also if the inspection requires the dismantling of certain equipment, such as motors, then flamepaths are cleaned and greased.

There are a number of standard inspection forms that cover the following equipment: Ex d, Ex e, Ex n, Ex i, Ex s, Ex p, Ex m, Ex o, Ex v, DIP, Ex d motor, Ex e motor, and, Ex n motor.

Ex certificates are stored as links to the appropriate files (pdf, doc, etc.), folders or web addresses. This allows for the updates of certificates independently of the software.

Engertrol eDoss® and Pocket Inspector® software systems have been designed to interface with most major maintenance packages. Engertrol is currently interfacing the eDoss® and Pocket Inspector® to operate in conjunction with Maximo, SAP and Oracle systems.
